Non-Planar Stereography
Up until now, putting stereographic images on a curved surface was just not done! Because the depth effect is so dependent upon horizontal spacing, it was assumed that curvature would distort the image too much. But, if a few simple guidelines are followed, not only can it be done, but it creates a magical animation effect when the object is rotated.

Non-Planar Stereography is Patent Pending. It is available for licensing for use on cans, paper or plastic cups, sports bottles, toys, or whatever curved surface you can think of. Combined with Single Viewpoint Stereography, incredible effects can be produced.

The images and animations here can give you an idea, but you will get a better feel for it if you print out the images and wrap them around an object.
